About us

’a matter of TASTE’ started twenty years ago as purveyors of deluxe hors d’œuvres for film premieres.  Since then, ‘a matter of TASTE’ has grown into a full service party caterer of note for the most trendsetting private and corporate affairs. And when we say full service, it is no exaggeration. 

Attentive service and delicious food and drink go without saying.  But we go further still.  We find the perfect venue, create the perfect atmosphere and supply the finest entertainment.  We exceed expectations.

‘a matter of TASTE’ is located in the West Indisch Huis, a stylish yet stately manner in the heart of Amsterdam dating from 1617.  In one of our four impressive salons, the West Indies Company made the decision to build a fort on an island now known as Manhattan.  Today, you too can choose this historic locale for the most impressive and up-to-date of gatherings.
